Shopping Trip 15

I noticed we were low on milk, or maybe that was just my excuse to go back to Albertson's today :)

I paid $6.21 before tax on my groceries today! 5 boxes of cereal 2 (2 Cheerios and 3 Cinnamon Toast Crunch),
2 gallons of milk,
5 boxes of Betty Crocker Fruit snacks
Saturday's Trip:

I went into Albertson's Saturday and was surprised to find:

Now until September 6 you can get a catalina (the coupon that prints out at the register) at Albertson's that is good for your next shopping order. You have to be 3, 4, or 5 boxes of Betty Crocker fruit snacks ($.79 on sale this week) and you get a catalina for $1.50, $2.50 or $3.50.

I had the $1.50 catalina from my Saturday shopping trip...and I add 2 coupons for Betty Crocker fruit snacks...I went in to get this amazing deal. I did do 2 transactions. 5 Fruit Snacks and 2 boxes of Cheerios (I also earned 20 box top rewards) I used 4 coupons and the before tax total was $3.55 and I received a $3.50 catalina off my next shopping trip. (Which just happened to be transaction #2). I bought milk and 3 boxes of cinnamon toast crunch used 2 coupons and the before tax total was $2.66.

Saturday's Shopping Trip:
Betty Crocker fruit snacks $.79 and I had a couple of coupons so the final price was $.39 for one box and $.54 for two boxes (plus earned a catalina for $1.50 off my next shopping trip!)

I did pick up General Mills Cereal 8 boxes for $1.00 each (using Internet and newspaper coupons $1.00 buy 2.)

Grapes were yummy too $.89/lb

Safeway clean up & save sale!

I just updated the Costco price list. I put Costco prices in red to show off what I great deal I got! (You can get a great deal too even without coupons!)

For Paper towels I had the total sq. foot of each package to compare prices.

($4.99 without coupon, $.156 a load, or use coupon $1.00 PG 7-5)

Safeway Shopping Trip

Safeway did have extra Sunday ad inserts at their store. Check both doors for the inserts, because my Safeway only had them on one side.

Also, I was able to use more than one coupon for the Nature Valley Granola Bars and the Bryer's Ice Cream. I asked an employee before I shopped if I had more than one in-store coupon if I could get 2 of the Bryers Ice Cream she said yes. (It says limit one, but the coupon in the fine print says limit one per coupon.) However, the cashier wasn't happy about giving me two, and told me "she wasn't supposed to, but would this time." So if you use more than one coupon good luck and I hope you get a friendly cashier.

Cereal Total: $8.31 - MC $1.00-MC $1.00 = Final Price for all cereal and milk: $6.31 or $1.26 ea.
The Cheerios are 9 oz and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch is 12.6 oz
Milk was on sale for $1.99 a gallon.

I took the last three cereals off the shelf and I did ask if they had any more in the store and was told they were out. Tuesday is when the store will restock so try then if you want this deal.
Be sure to print off coupons for the cereal from the coupon printer on the top left.

I planned on buying 2 boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch (had two Internet coupons), but they only had one on the shelf. I only printed one Cheerios coupon, so I could have saved another $1.00 if I had printed off two coupons.

Shopping Trip 4

This is my combined Safeway and Albertson's shopping trip on Saturday morning.

The best part that is not shown, are the 3 rain check I got for diapers. I am stocked up for diapers for the next six weeks, so with the rain checks I can go back and use them in April and still get the great deal. Also, I talked with an Albertson's Manager and he told me they only keep 8 packages of each size of diapers on the shelves. By having multiple rain checks, I am sure I will be able to get all the diapers I wanted. I had a bad experience with a rain check for peanut butter. After the peanut butter promotion the store only had a few jars of peanut butter on the shelves and I was only able to get 6 jars of peanut butter with my rain check, instead of the desired 10.

Shopping Trip 3

After seeing the ad for Sproutz I wanted to go check it out for myself. This is what I bought:
carrots were $.50/lb and were locally grown,
cilantro $.34,
Fuji apples $.69/lb
garlic $.50
green leaf lettuce $.69 each
avocados $.69 each
limes $.20 each
red peppers $.50 each
roma tomatoes $.69/lb,
corn 6 for $1.00!

The Bananas were $.57/lb which was less than the grocery store, but Costco still has the cheapest price/lb for bananas. Cantaloupe $1.50 each, Colby Jack Cheese block $1.99/lb, this was a special sale this week and is the same price/lb as Costco. The Tortilla Chips were $1.89/12 oz, and they were an extra buy (I am not perfect at sticking to my list.)
The chips were good and I would buy them again, but my FAVORITE tortilla chips are made in Henderson, CO, La Favorita chips.
Sam's Club is the cheapest place to buy them, but you can find them in King Soopers and Albertsons for $1.99/16 oz bag. I have also found them at the Wal-mart in Commerce city. You will have to look around at your local Wal-mart and grocery stores, because not all Wal-marts, King Soopers, and Albertson's carry them.

Shopping Trip 2

This week I went to Safeway and Costco for my shopping trips. I bought all my produce for the week, cheese, butter and the necessary Chicken Nuggets at Costco. At Safeway I bought 2 dial soaps for $0.30 each after using a coupon. The Colgate Toothpaste was free after using coupons! The Tide Laundry detergent was cheaper than at Costco, $9.99 each, making it .$15 cents a load vs. buying the same Tide detergent at Costco at $.20 cents a load. The Pop-tarts and Fruit Snacks were $0.50 a box after coupons. Frito's/Cheetos were $1.00 each. I saw the Cheetos for $1.50 at Wal-mart before the Superbowl, so I think at $1.00 it is worth to stock up on a few bags.

Shopping Trip 1

I normally don't go to all three stores, but today I did. I also did buy milk, eggs, poduce, and a few other items other than listed below, but I wanted to share with you what I bought that were good and great deals.

My combined King Sooper's and Safeway trip

King Sooper's
With the mix and match sale I stocked up on Salsa for $1.00 each after coupons, Ro*tel for $0.49 each no coupon needed, and Cream Cheese for $0.79 each. Also, I got Strawberries $0.99 for a 16 oz tub.

Safeway
Okay you caught me! Your Diet Coke 4 12 packs for $7.99 I had to make a special trip. Lucky it is just right across the street from King Sooper's so I don't feel too guilty like I was "running around town" spending gas money to save grocery money. While I was their I conveniently got my 4 boxes of crackers for $0.67 each. That was after I used two coupons.

Albertson's
With Superbowl Sunday we had to get the must have $2.99/lb Tyson hot wings from Albertson's. We love these, and look forward to buying more to freeze and enjoy them again during March Madness when Albertsons' reduces the price. While I was there I did pick up my 5 boxes of Kraft Mac and Cheese for $2.50. That makes it $0.50 a box! Which makes it a good deal, so I bought two! The bonus is with the in-store coupon, I also got two free Tombstone frozen pizzas. My kids are going to love that for lunch!
